The “City Between the Lakes,” Wylie residents can enjoy boating, fishing, and camping at Lake Lavon to the north or Lake Ray Hubbard to the south. In the 21st Century, Wylie has become one of the fastest growing communities in Collin County and now extends into neighboring Dallas and Rockwall counties. With the expansion comes the opportunity to live in one of Wylie’s latest new home neighborhood communities offering the latest and best in amenities. Woodbridge Golf Club, rated four stars by Golf Digest, is a public course and is surrounded by many of Wylie’s newest neighborhoods.
Most of the Collin County portion of Wylie is served by Wylie Independent School District. A small portion in Collin County is served by Princeton Independent School District. The Dallas County portion is served by Garland Independent School District. The Rockwall County portion is served by Rockwall Independent School District.
With its recent growth, the City has made a transition from "bedroom" community to a "balanced" community combining quality residential living with a healthy business climate. Wylie’s historic downtown brings the community together for events ranging from its unique rodeo, an annual car race, to arts festivals and holiday-themed celebrations including Boo on the Ballard and the Christmas Parade. There’s also the annual Bluegrass on Ballard, JazzArts Fest, Taste of Wylie, and more. Historic Downtown Wylie also offers the famous Wylie Opry and a host of local restaurants, salons, shops, and services. When you have the need to leave, Highway 78 running through the middle of Wylie takes you quickly to the George Bush Turnpike with direct access to I-75 Central Expressway to get to downtown Dallas, or stay on to get anywhere you wish to go in the Metroplex. Go north instead on Highway 78, and McKinney is 16 miles away with a plethora of upscale dining, shopping and entertainment offerings.
I have been married to my high school sweetheart, Gordon for 30 years this November and we have 4 kids-Connor who is married to Brittany, Patrick, Philip, and Abigail Grace.
I have a decorating and staging background around the Metroplex the past 20 years, also partnering in my own company where we painted and staged children's departments at several local churches, called Design Intervention. Since being in Real Estate, I also have worked with investors this past year doing Design Consulting on their flip homes.
I love shopping for clients, was a Nutrition major in college, kind of love working out. :)
My husband and I are members of the Roanoke Community Police Association. />
I love gardening, and hanging out with family and friends!
"We used Kim Taylor to sell our current home AND buy our next home. She did an incredible job helping us get our house in show ready form and we had multiple offers within a week. The buying market is crazy right now but Kim was able to help us negotiate and find the perfect home for us. We are so happy with how the whole process has progressed and Kim was very responsive to our requests and willing to meet us when we were ready to see houses. She's also helping us find a contractor to do some renovations on our upcoming home so she's going above and beyond her realtor status! Thanks, Kim!
